This pop banger finds Sigrid giving a kiss-off to a yes man. The Norwegian songstress explained that "High Five" is about "the importance of those relations where you both dare to be completely honest with each other, rather than exchanging superficial 'high fives.'"
Sigrid wrote this song with Martin Sjølie, who co-penned the Norwegian singer's "Don't Kill My Vibe" and "Strangers" and Emily Warren, whose resume also includes The Chainsmokers' "Don't Let Me Down", Sean Paul's "No Lie" and Dua Lipa's "New Rules."
It's obvious to Americans but less so in other countries, so we'll explain it: A high-five is a form of greeting or mutual congratulation in which two people slap each other's raised right hand. "Five" refers to the five fingers.
