This duet between Colbie Caillat and Gavin DeGraw features in the closing credits of the Nicholas Sparks movie Safe Haven. The duo also recorded "Baby, It's Cold Outside" for Caillat's holiday album Christmas in the Sand.
DeGraw and Caillat wrote the ballad on a bus ride to Nashville. "It was an overnight drive on the bus and it all just kind of happened. It was awesome. It was magical, it was [sings] this magic moment," explained DeGraw to Billboard magazine.
Caillat explained the song's meaning to CBS Local: "It's a song about a relationship where you need time apart and you get perspective on who you are as a person and who you are in the relationship," she said. "It's a beautiful ballad."
