Cole explained to The Boombox why this is one of his favorite cuts on his debut album: "The breakdown to me is my favorite because it's super personal, super emotional. I made the song and even now when I listen to it I feel like, 'Wow!' I feel like I went on a ride of emotions."
Cole World: The Sideline Story arrived on the Billboard 200 at the #1 spot, selling 218,000 copies in its first week. It was the first debut album by a solo artist to debut at the summit in over 17 months and the biggest digital album debut from a new artist since January 2010.
