Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Just a Day - Edit. By Songfacts®.

Frontman Grant Nicholas (from Kerrang! magazine June 21, 2008): "I wrote this at the end of our second album and it just sort of hung around. It ended up on a computer game (Gran Turismo 3) and then it was a B-side but the record company wanted to put it out as a single. I didn't want to, though. I thought it was a bit of a cheat. It still amazes me that it's so popular. It's not a particularly happy song if you listen to the lyrics."

Nicholas told Kerrang! about the song's video, which showed lots of fans dancing and singing along to the song in their bedroom: "That was the director's idea and it was great. No one had really done that before but there have been loads of videos since then that have copied the idea. We thought it was a bit of a gamble-we couldn't work out whether it was brilliant or completely crap at first. It was one of the last songs we did with Jon (drummer Jon Lee who committed suicide in 2002). The actual last song we recorded with him was a cover of The Police's 'Can't Stand Losing You,' which is quite strange given what happened."
