This song was produced by Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Daughtry, Kelly Clarkson). Iraheta explained to The Associated Press that she wasn't enthused by this track until the rock producer overhauled it. Said the 2009 American Idol finalist: "Before Howard Benson did his magic, it was a song that I was totally like, "Ehhhhh. That's not for me." The way it was melodically, the song had no rock edge to it. There was just none of that until we took it to Howard Benson, and he totally, totally flipped it."
A re-worked version was released as the third single from Just Like You featuring Australian guitarist Orianthi.
During an interview with Radio Disney hosts Ernie D and Jake, Allison said of this song's meaning: "Not to waste your time on people or things that aren't worth it."
