This dance-floor-ready tune was released as the third single from American-born but Jamaican-bred Sean Kingston's third album on December 21, 2010. The Stargate-produced track finds Kingston celebrating the all-night-partying lifestyle.
The song was written by an international collection of songwriters. In addition to the Norwegian production team Stargate, the other credited writers are: 1) Canadian songwriter August Rigo, whose other writing credits include songs by Justin Bieber ("U Smile"), Iyaz ("Solo") and JLS ("Outta This World"). 2) African-American dance music vocalist and songwriter Duane Harden, who is best known for providing the vocals for Armand Van Helden's chart-topper "You Don't Know Me." 3) French hitmaker Sandy Vee, who also co-penned Leona Lewis' "Collide" and Taio Cruz's "Higher." 4) Russian-born singer-songwriter and classically trained pianist Polina Goudieva, who left her native country for the US. She once sung on an advertising jingle that became the most frequently played commercial jingle ever recorded for Russian television.
The song failed to reach the Hot 100 in the US but charted highly in the UK and Ireland after featuring in the summer hit comedy the Inbetweeners Movie.
