Frontman Chad Gray told the Illinois Entertainer that this song is about a man's sudden plunge into insanity. He added that it was inspired by the barren, snow-covered isolation that surrounded the band while they were holed up in Idaho during the writing sessions for The New Game.
At the beginning of the song, Chad Gray repeats four times: "All work and no play makes me a dull boy." This is a reference to the film The Shining, in which Jack Nicholson's character's wife finds her husband has typed the line repeatedly on his typewriter.
This was originally included on Mudvayne's 2007 rarities compilation album By the People, For the People. It was added to their album The New Game in 2008.
