This is the opening track and the lead single by American rock band R.E.M., from their fifteenth studio album, Collapse Into Now. The song was produced by R.E.M. with Garret "Jacknife" Lee (Snow Patrol, U2), who plays alongside R.E.M.'s Peter Buck in the Alt-Country supergroup Tired Pony. It was released for free download by remhq.com on December 15, 2010.

The songs on Collapse Into Now are less political than the material on Accelerate. "It's more of a personal record than a political one," said bassist Mike Mills to Rolling Stone. "Current events do come into our mind when we write, but the themes here are more universal."
