The Chamber

This was Alex Turner and Miles Kane's first collaborative song. They wrote it in alternative lines. Turner told The Daily Telegraph October 18, 2008: "we were swapping the vocal every line, and we'd have probably taken it as far as singing alternate words if the producer had let us."

Turner explained to The Daily Telegraph that this claustrophobic number is "just a reminder not to torture yourself fretting about things." He added that him and Miles Kane "are terrible ones for doing that; perhaps that's one of the points we formed a bond on, even before the songs."
