"Head in the Clouds" finds Gerry Cinnamon tackling his issues with insomnia. He wrote the song while recording The Bonny, finishing it following three days of celebrating Josh Taylor's victory against Regis Prograis in the World Boxing Super Series final.

However, rather than enjoying the emotion, he tries to pretend it's not happening. You don't want to be hearin' The feelin' is buildin' You try not to fight it So you try to be cool But then act like a fool Speaking about the track to NME, Cinnamon said: "You don't really find out what the change is until the end, when you realize the character in the song is just loved up and trying to run away from it: 'I don't know if you're really in love but I have my suspicions.'"
