Most of The Soft Parade album contains orchestral songs, but "Wild Child" is closer to The Doors early sound, highlighted by a Robby Krieger bluesy guitar solo.
Jim Morrison's poetic lyrics describe a free spirit who is "savior of the human race." The song is very much open to interpretation.
