Brett Anderson sings here about "chasing the dragon." He told Uncut that Suede wrote about drugs because they were part of life for so many young Londoners. "I sang about them because I wanted to document them, and because there seemed to be something to sing about. I hope I never did it in a blithe, stupid way. I could see lives being destroyed," he said. "I was lucky. I jumped out their balloon before it rose too high."
Brett Anderson: "I used to eulogize that sense of youth as powerful, vital energy. That's what So Young is. Let's ride the razor's edge of youth."
