Armin van Buuren is a Dutch electronic music producer and DJ who has hosted a weekly radio show called A State of Trance since 2001, which claims to have around 20 million weekly listeners in over 25 countries. He has been listed as the world's #1 DJ on several of DJ Magazine's annual pools, including for four consecutive years between 2007–2010.

This is the first single from van Buuren's fifth album, Instinct. The song features vocals by Canadian singer-songwriter Trevor Guthrie, who is the former lead singer of the now defunct Pop group soulDecision. They were best known for the song "Faded," which was a #1 hit in Canada and peaked at #22 on the United States Hot 100.

The song was Armin van Buuren's first top ten hit in the UK. His previous best chart placing was "Communication," which peaked at #18 in 2000.
