This optimistic protest anthem finds vocalist Aluna Francis spreading some encouragement amidst the current dark political times. She explained in a social media post that the track was written in February 2017 and is about "throwing some positivity out there when so much crazy is happening on the daily."
Francis expanded on the song's message to Genius. "Some people fight for their rights," she said. "Some of those fights have been won. And then those who have used grace to try and win, it takes longer and it's just a reference to the different ways that we have tried to overcome these issues. You feel like you're suffering from prejudice. I can guarantee there is a bunch of other people that you can connect with and then together you can educate people about what makes you you."
