Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Finding You. By Songfacts®.

Kesha wrote this song with Eric Frederic and Justin Tranter; it was produced by Ricky Reed. The guitar riff came first, then Kesha came up with lyrics inspired by her boyfriend, Brad Ashenfelter. "I also really, really hope that I have multiple lifetimes, because I can't stand the thought of just one lifetime with the people I love," she told NPR. "So this song's about my belief that we have soul groups and when I die I want to find the people I love in the next lifetime. One lifetime is not enough when you love someone so deeply it hurts."

Ricky Reed produced and helped write a number of tracks on Rainbow. He told Pop Crush that this throwback folk song is his favorite track on the album. He explained: "It makes me think of my own love. I think that when you find the one, you move through lifetimes finding each other over and over. It really can be forever."
