Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Deepest Shame (feat. Ed Sheeran, Chip & Devlin). By Songfacts®.

Ill Manors is a soundtrack album by British musician and rapper Ben Drew, aka Plan B, released to accompany the film of the same name. The movie is a crime thriller set on the unforgiving streets of London following the disparate lives of various characters. This song is about Michelle, who was abused as a child and is now prostituting for small change.

This track started life as a freestyle rap called "Michelle," but Drew worked it into more of a Soul number for the album, although the original appears in the film. The first Hip-Hop version features on the Deluxe Edition bonus CD, which contains the entire Ill Manors film score.

The song's music video tells the tale of Michelle's life of prostitution, as well as featuring scenes from the Ill Manors. It stars Manchester-born actress Anouska Mond, who plays Michelle in the film.
