The song's music video was directed by Kenny Koller and shot on Santa Monica Beach and Pier; Joshua Tree, Death Valley; and Sequoia National Parks. The clip features an appearance by the song's special guest, ZZ Ward.

The video chronicles the tale of Asher Roth's getaway from the city's craziness. It is the first of a trilogy, which tells the story heard in Asher Roth's RetroHash album. "'Parties at the Disco' is the start of a journey," said Roth to Billboard magazine. "A nostalgic dreamscape that creates a wistful web strung from emptiness and desire."

In case you haven't worked it out - RetroHash is an anagram for 'Asher Roth.'
