This is the first single from The Dissent of Man, the 15th studio album by punk rock legends Bad Religion. Guitarist and songwriter Brett Gurewitz said in a video interview with Spinner that when writing this tune, he was trying to write a Bruce Springsteen song. "(It's) a place where I haven't gone as a songwriter," he said.
