Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about The Glory. By Songfacts®.

One of three new songs on The Cranberries acoustic album Something Else, "The Glory" finds Dolores O'Riordan in a melancholy mood until she sees the glory in the eyes of someone who makes her feel better. "It's from the angle of when you're going through a hard time and you're needing help and you reach out for help," she said in a Songfacts interview. "So, it's kind of sad but it's also positive." The album was recorded with the Irish Chamber Orchestra.

A theme in this song is how there is always hope. "There's always a light at the end of the tunnel no matter how dark life can get, O'Riordan said. "It can be difficult at times but you have to search for the light and the positive in things."
