Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Spread Your Wings - BBC Session / October 28th 1977, Maida Vale 4 Studio. By Songfacts®.

Written by Queen bass player John Deacon, this is a fan favorite that was never a hit. The music video was filmed in drummer Roger Taylor's garden in Surrey, England. The ground was covered in snow and ice, and the band was noticeably uncomfortable. Brian May remarks in the making of video, "looking back, it couldn't be done there - you couldn't do that!" During the shoot, the ice and snow on the ground complicated matter, and Freddie Mercury consumed more alcohol than he probably should have.
