Wired for Sound - 2001 Remaster

This is a tribute song to the then newly invented Sony Walkman. It was at the time a genuine breakthrough in the world of portable music.

BA Robertson wrote this with Alan Tarney. Robertson has written many international hits, including "Carrie" (also for Cliff Richard) and "The Living Years" for Mike & The Mechanics. He has also enjoyed chart success in Europe as an artist. His first solo single, "Bang Bang" (1979), achieved worldwide sales of over 1 million and reached #2 in the UK.

A worldwide hit, this made the Top 10 in many countries, including #2 in South Africa and Australia. It was nominated for the 1981 Ivor Novello Song of the Year.
