This song boogied all the way to #1 on the US Dance chart, giving Jamiroquai their second chart-topper. In the catering industry, Canned Heat are those little tins filled with a gelatinous substance that when lit can be placed under metal dishes to keep food warm. There was a time when the stuff could be ingested for a cheap high; the Blues musician Tommy Johnson wrote a song about doing this in 1928 called "Canned Heat Blues." This song provided the name for the band Canned Heat, which formed in 1966 and played at Woodstock.
