Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Low Key. By Songfacts®.

This minimalist and raw track finds Jeff Tweedy telling his wife Sukie Miller that he loves her, even though it might not be obvious due to his low key personality. I'm gonna love you the same I'll always be your feel And when it looks like I don't care I'm just playing it cool The song was released on Sukierae, a collaborative album between Jeff Tweedy and his drummer son, Spencer. The record was written and recorded in the midst of Sukie Miller's fight with cancer, which influenced the lyrical content.

The song's music video was directed by Parks and Recreation star Nick Offerman (Jeff Tweedy has appeared in a couple episodes of the NBC comedy) . The clip, stars not only the Tweedys (including Spencer's brother Sam Tweedy) but also John Hodgman ( the PC in Apple's "Get a Mac" advertising campaign) as their label boss and Boardwalk Empire's Michael Shannon as the assistant Stephen. Amongst the other celebrities that the Tweedys encounter are Conan O'Brien, Andy Richter, Steve Albini, Chance the Rapper and Mavis Staples.
