Jenna McDougall sings on this haunting track about finding solace in someone close to her. If the pain is endless How can I live? McDougall explained the story behind this track during a track-by-track interview with New Noise Magazine: "I was on a different wavelength when we were writing the song originally, and we kind of spun it into a love song. I talk about, 'If the pain is endless, how can I live?' It's that moment of entrapment within yourself and within your feelings and feeling a little bit too intense. It seems there is only one solution and that is to be with someone you love and that knows you and again can hold space for you. It's definitely a song that is craving something that isn't necessarily helping you out. You can kind of hear how I'm talking about patterns in the relationship and not trying to go back in time but love just for now, just for the moment. It's about turning to someone in the moment of need."
