As Carey's fans eagerly awaiting the release of Caution, her first studio album in four years, they also launched a #JusticeForGlitter campaign to revive the 2001 soundtrack to her maligned film Glitter. The day after Caution's November 14, 2018 debut, Glitter hit #1 on the iTunes chart in the US and several other countries.
