Dragging Me Down

In his book Carpet Burns..., frontman Tom Hingley says "Dragging Me Down" was recorded with "Smoking Her Clothes" and "I Know I'm Losing You" at The Windings, a studio in Wrexham. After some discussion it was decided "Dragging Me Down" would be the next single, backed by "I Know I'm Losing You."

Running to 4 minutes 34 seconds, it was also Track 7 on Revenge Of The Goldfish. The group composition was produced by Pascal Gabriel, and with the initial February 1992 pressing there have been no fewer than 13 releases in various formats, including a CD version on Liberation Records in Australia; this latter includes the 6 minute 33 second Pascal Gabriel Extended Mix and the 4 minute 51 second Jon Dasilva Remix.
