Houston, Texas native Trevor Daniel Neill is a singer-songwriter who performs under the name of Trevor Daniel. This song is from his debut EP Homesick, recorded after signing a contract with Internet Money Records.

Here, Trevor Daniel sings of a broken heart caused by a failed romance. He's finding it hard to trust anyone again as a result of that painful experience. The singer had vowed that he wasn't going to fall for anyone again, but now a lady has appeared on the scene that he's started having feelings for. He may be willing to take the plunge again. Come closer, I'll give you all my love If you treat me right, baby, I'll give you everything My last made me feel like I would never try again But when I saw you, I felt something I never felt. Daniel explained in a Genius attribution: "I've got to be crazy to do this again. But she's got me head over heels and I'm feeling something special with her so I might have to just go for it and hope for the best."

Trevor Daniel wrote "Falling" along with the track's three producers. Charlie Handsome, whose resumé also includes two Khalid hit songs: "Better" and the Texan singer's duet with Normani "Love Lies."
