Adam Green and Kimya Dawson of The Moldy Peaches were totally unaware that this song was being used in a Pepsodent toothpaste advert across South America. Green explained to the New Musical Express January 26, 2008: "At least with Juno they asked our permission to use the song ("Anyone Else But You"). Recently we've had music in adverts and people haven't even asked. We had to hunt down lawyers in South America to sue toothpaste companies that have used songs of mine. The only reason we found out about the commercial was we started winning awards for best commercial of the year in Argentina. Friends of mine would come back and say 'Hey, I was just on holiday in Chile and you song is on the TV and radio all the time!'."
The Moldy Peaches album had an untimely release date in the US of September 11, 2001. An even more unfortunate coincidence is that one of the tracks on the album is "NYC's Like a Graveyard."
