Bleachers main man Jack Antonoff explained the track's meaning to HMV.com: "It's this weird song I wrote about how I wondered if it would be easier to be with someone who didn't speak your language."
The song is the closing track of Bleachers second album, Gone Now. The record's title was taken from this song's opening lines: Gone now Thinking what's gone now Like a part of me walked out, oh
Antonoff said about the album's artwork: "The feeling with the cover art is it's like I'm dead, I'm writing from the perspective that I'm not here anymore and looking back at a moment in time."
