Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about All About Tonight. By Songfacts®.

This honky-tonking rocker pened by Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson and Ben Hayslip is the first single from the second installment of country singer Blake Shelton's Six Pack EPs.

The song is a paean to partying in which the protagonist is ignoring the prospects of a hangover. He is focused around living in the moment and ignoring the morning-after consequences.

Rhett Akins told the story of the song to The Boot: "We decided that we wanted to write a song about how we just don't care about tomorrow because tomorrow can wait until tomorrow - it's all about tonight! We just went from there and touched on things like I know I'm going to have a headache in the morning, and I'll probably be broke. There's no telling what we're going to do, and I don't even care because it's all about tonight. That's all I'm worried about! It's a good, fun party song about where the night is going to go. After we wrote it, we thought it sounds just like a Blake Shelton song. It's his life!"
