This epic synth-driven meditation on mortality is a duet between vocalist Win Butler and his wife, Régine Chassagne. It reaches its peak with the help of strings from old collaborators Owen Pallet and former bandmate Sarah Neufeld. Bassist Tim Kingsbury told The Sun that the band had let the tune go by the wayside, but producer James Murphy persuaded them to complete it. "It was this super loose, open jam, a drifting electronic song, but he said we had to keep it on the record," he said.
This was originally written for the Spike Jonze film Her, but was reworked for Reflektor. A variation of the song can be heard weaving in and out of the track, "Morning Talk/Supersymmetry," on the Her score.
