The Permanent Rain

This song is about two people in a car crash dying, and the lead singer was close to them. He's trying to say that he's sad that those two people never got to see him play music on the road and see all his dreams come true. He's constantly wishing they could just see him play, and has been screaming and writing about them for years. He may also be saying that he's not scared to die because he has "another friend up in the atmosphere and another reason not to fear the sky."
