Tomorrow's Dust

The Slow Rush has a loose theme running through it concerning the nature of time. Here, Kevin Parker ruminates on how passing days immediately become the past. I was blinded by a memory Like it's someone else, like it wasn't me And there's every chance I'll be learning fast And the day will come and then it will pass The actions we do now will become the recollections and regrets of yesterday. Once something is done it can't be undone.

Parker commented to Apple Music: "Future memories are present-day current events. Tomorrow's dust is in today's air, floating around us as we speak."

Speaking with The London Times, Parker broke down the meaning of The Slow Rush. "If you stare at the clock, it's crawling along, but as soon as you get distracted, that's when time overtakes you," he said. "As humans we could do so much, but somehow time always gets the better of us. How does that happen?"
