Justin Bieber's Changes album is dedicated to his wife, Hailey. It includes tracks about how she's helped him through his mental and physical health struggles. He acknowledges his problems can make him a difficult person to be with. Here, he tells Hailey that when she's frustrated and upset, he'll be her "punching bag" and that she can take it out on him in the bedroom. He explained during an album playback: "I'm letting my wife know that whatever is happening, however she feels, she can take it out on me - you know, in the sack, if you know what I mean."
The Kid Culture and Poo Bear-produced song samples the beat of R&B duo dvsn's 2015 track, "Too Deep." Dvsn previously remixed Justin Bieber's 2017 single "Friends."
