He is joined by R&B singer Kehlani, who responds to Justin's professions of adoration by marveling at their chemistry. The two giddy lovebirds conclude the track together crooning about the pleasure they get from each other.
Justin's wife, Hailey, spent a lot of time in the studio with him while he recorded the Changes album. The Canadian pop star has said that every song on the record is about her.
The song's punchy production flirts with R&B stylings. Four people created the instrumentation: Drake's in-house collaborator Boi-1da. Dominican-American producer Vinylz, who frequently teams up with Boi-1da. Bieber's frequent collaborator, "Poo Bear" Boyd. Toronto-based producer CVRE, whose work has been used in tracks by artists like A Boogie With Da Hoodie and Juice WRLD. The four producers also co-wrote the song along with Bieber and Noah Sammak.
