In 2004, 20-year-old Amy Winehouse performed this self-penned track live on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross accompanying herself on the guitar. From the associated interview, the song appears to be about a former boyfriend. At that time, Winehouse was riding high on the success of her debut album, Frank, but seven years and only one album later, she would be dead. This raw performance of "I Heard Love Is Blind" gave the British public and the world one of the earliest exposures to a talent that was ultimately wasted due to a fatal addiction to alcohol and other, harder drugs.
