The dark lyrics on many of the tracks of La Roux's debut album were taken from sad-sack poems that Jackson wrote when she was a school girl. This cut for instance, features lyrics about stalking a former lover. "All the songs are sad," Jackson told Rolling Stone. "It was quite intense."
