The fourth track on Arkells third album High Noon, this is the most romantic song the band has ever written. The band's previous love songs were often in the context of heartbreak, depression, or sadness - "11:11" is Arkells first proper love song, which expresses the joy of actually being in love.
In our interview with Arkells frontman, Max Kerman, he told us how "11:11" is somewhat autobiographical, but that specific lyrics in the song are about observing his friends being in love, too. The line, "I couldn't hold a candle to ya," is about having admiration for the person that you are dating. Kerman explained about watching his friends, "I always love it when they put their partner up on a pedestal."
