The track's bluesy guitar loop was sampled from "Where There's A Will (There's A Way)," a track from Los Angeles singer-songwriter D.J. Rogers' 1973 eponymous debut album. During a listening session for Undun at Manhattan's Legacy Studios The Roots manager, Rich Nichols, explained the sample is the first and only the band have ever used. In the past even the beats credited to Dilla, such as 2006's "Can't Stop This," were replayed by the band.
