The band has described this song as a motivational cry to those afraid to chase their dreams. Some of the lyrics indicate that the song could be about how Peter and Sam Loeffler feel about their brother, Joe, who played bass in Chevelle and left after their 2004 album This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us In). The beginning states, "So you say you're ignored? As it is, well give us your sad, sad trip" which could sarcastically be chastising him for complaining about not getting enough spotlight.
