Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Amigone. By Songfacts®.

Amigone is the name of a chain of funeral homes in Buffalo, New York, where the band is from.

Goo bassist Robby Takac was both songwriter and lead vocalist for this fast-paced guitar tune that addresses feelings of guilt after the death of a loved one. Takac was the band's original singer until John Rzeznik took over as primary lead vocalist on their third album, Hold Me Up. Other Takac-led tunes from Dizzy Up The Girl include "January Friend," "Full Forever," and "Extra Pale."

This is a track from the Goo Goo Dolls' sixth studio album, which was a huge success thanks to the City Of Angels smash "Iris" and the hit single "Slide." The album sold more than 4 million copies in the US, making it the band's best-selling release.
