This song was inspired by the 1943 movie I Walked With A Zombie, which is a favorite of Wednesday 13's. Explaining how the song came to him, Wednesday told us: "I was reading about it in a book, and I was just looking through this book and I was playing guitar. Somehow I just started singing what I was reading, and it just turned into that song. It turned out to be so catchy, and I did a demo of it immediately. I went, 'Whoa, this is like super horror pop punk,' or whatever you want to call it." The song roughly follows the story of the film, which is about a woman who has entered some kind of trance-like state. Her caretaker brings her to a remote island, where a voodoo priest attempts a cure.
Wednesday 13 (real name: Joseph Poole) was ahead of the Zombie trend, releasing this song a few years before the hit TV series Walking Dead and the movie Zombieland. The first Wednesday 13 video was for this song, and it featured the band integrated into a horror film.
