Tyler Herro is a NBA shooting guard who when Jack Harlow recorded this song was a rookie sensation for the Miami Heat. Fresh off his 2020 XXL Freshman nomination, the "What's Poppin" rapper pays tribute to the rising basketball star.

Though Jack Harlow is an ardent Louisville Cardinals supporter, he connects with Herro as they both blew up in 2020. Also, Herro played college basketball at the University of Kentucky, which the rapper's father attended.

Apart from titling the song after Tyler Herro and featuring him on the single cover, most of the lyrics aren't about the Miami Heat star. Except for one Tyler shout out in his verse, Harlow rattles off a series of braggadocios punchlines about his rise up, often with a basketball motif.
