Interesting facts and trivia about Mr. Lonely. By Songfacts®.

This rollicking ode to one night stands finds Midland's frontman Mark Wystrach, guitarist Jess Carson and bassist Cameron Duddy singing about a charming rogue. Long live the blues They're keeping me in business Someone to dance Someone to party Whatever they need they call me Mr. Lonely Mr. Lonely is always ready to provide a good time to any women who calls.

Mark Wystrach, Jess Carson and bassist Cameron Duddy teamed with Nashville songwriter Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne to pen the song. McAnally and Osborne's other collaborations include Sam Hunt's "Body Like a Back Road" and Midland's own "Drinkin' Problem."

The music video was directed by Cameron Duddy and his brother Colin. Midland enlisted actor Dennis Quaid to star as the title character who we see pay for his past discretions. The clip was filmed on the set of Netflix series The Ranch, which the group explained is one of their favorite shows.
