Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Four Letter Word. By Songfacts®.

This promotional single by English rock band Beady Eye from their 2011 debut album, Different Gear, Still Speeding was made available on a limited edition 7" vinyl on January 17, 2011.

Beady Eye was formed in 2009 by former members of Oasis, following the departure of songwriter and guitarist Noel Gallagher. This song, credited to Liam Gallagher, Gem Archer and Andy Bell, finds the singer continuing his ceaseless war of words with his brother. "You've had enough / Staring out of dead end eyes / I don't know what it is I'm feeling / A four letter word really gets my meaning," he sings before referencing the lyrics to Oasis' 1994 Noel-penned hit, "Live Forever," with "Nothing ever lasts forever."
