Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Riverside (Let's Go!) - Radio Edit. By Songfacts®.

This dancefloor crowd pleaser was originally released in July 2009 by Dutch DJ Sidney Samson as "Riverside" and reached # 8 in his native country's chart. Six months later it was given a remix treatment from Wizard Sleeve a.k.a. Lex Cruz and Mike Beatz and this new version charted in the UK Top 10.

The original song is often censored for radio play to avoid causing offense as most of the lyrical content is made up of two words, "Riverside Motherf---er." The sweary proclamation is sampled from the 1992 crime drama movie Juice starring Omar Epps and Tupac Shakur. The re-mix, which contains additional lyrics, is more radio friendly.

The song's music video was directed by James Copeman, who's previously helmed clips for Mystery Jets, Laura Marling and Noah And The Whale.
