Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Fall. By Songfacts®.

On "Fall," Eminem criticizes a number of current rappers he considers wack, saying they "get they style from Migos, then they copy Drake." However, it's Joe Budden who really incurs Slim Shady's wrath. Somebody tell Budden before I snap, he better fasten it Or have his body baggage zipped The Slaughterhouse signee skewered the Detroit rapper's previous album Revival during an episode of Everyday Struggle, branding it "one of the worst records [he'd] ever heard." Despite all this, at the time of Kamikaze's release, Budden was still signed to Shady Records.

The track features some falsetto vocals from Bon Iver's Justin Vernon. Though this is his first collaboration with Eminem he has worked with other rappers before, most notably on Kanye West's "Monster."

Tyler, the Creator provokes the most controversial rhyme on Kamikaze, when Eminem uses on this song a homophobic slur in relation to the Odd Future rapper. The diss comes as a result of Tyler criticizing Revival's lead single "Walk On Water," tweeting: "Dear god this is horrible sheesh." Tyler has hinted at his sexual orientation on several occasions with drawings, tweets, and lyrics. The homophobic diss is nothing new for Eminem – whose back catalogue is littered with slurs and insults. Speaking to UK newspaper The Guardian October 5, 2019, Tyler shrugged off the diss. "I knew what the intent was. He felt pressured because people got offended for me. Don't get offended for me. We were playing Grand Theft Auto when we heard that. We rewound it and were like: 'Oh, [shrug].' And then kept playing."
