Did You Know?

Interesting facts and trivia about Going Through Hell. By Songfacts®.

This rocker with a theme of conflict and male aggression is the first single from British Hip-Hop artist Mike Skinner's (aka The Streets) fifth studio album, Computers and Blues.

The track features the voice of The Music front man Robert Harvey. Skinner first revealed the collaboration on his blog skinnermike.com. "Rocking out with Rob Harvey from The Music on some vocals for my album," he wrote. "We've been mates for (a long) time but something clicked musically recently."

Skinner said to Scottish newspaper The Daily Record regarding this song: "There's a Smoke On The Water reference in the power chords but in the chorus it does that Ibiza thing."

He added: "What sounds like a guitar is actually a Fender Rhodes - your classic Stevie Wonder keyboard - put through a guitar amp and a load of effects pedals, till it just turns into a sort of buzz."
