Singer Rou Reynolds told Kerrang!: "This is a slap-around the face of those that partake in white collar crime. It's definitely one of the most positive sounding songs musically. It features an old riff of ours that we never used, so it's very nostalgic for us and brings back lots of happy memories."
The three-way harmony at the beginning of the song dates back to 2003. It was one of the first vocal parts that the band tested guitarist Rory Clewlow with when they recruited him for the band.
