JP Cooper penned this song with Mr. Hudson, Teemu Brunila and Jon Hume, the same quartet that wrote his breakthrough single "September Song."
Cooper said regarding the song's meaning, "The title says it all, 'She's on My Mind' is a song about having somebody invade your thoughts no matter how much you try to move forward, I'm sure most people have experienced this and we wanted the song to have the same infectious effect."
Cooper told Billboard magazine regarding the song's musical video: "I wanted a visual that captured the energy of this track and inspired people to sing along. I think we managed to do just that."
